Floods hit Saudi Arabia


Very heavy rain and floods hit Saudi Arabia, the information that can be thousands of pilgrims this season many are trapped in Jeddah Airport, Wednesday (25/11/2009). Even this incident also claimed lives.


There is the uniqueness that occurred from this incident, Saudi Arabia which has been known as a barren desert, steaming hot weather. Suddenly hit by heavy rain and even flooding.




It is never any mention about the history of Saudi Arabia in lye rain, but not until much much less flooding. This natural phenomenon occurs continuously increases as the old world we singgahi.

Floods inundate the streets of Mecca. "We are stuck because of water and rain. God willing, everything will be fine." Hakan said, a pilgrim from Istanbul Turkey when he was waiting for a bus to Mecca.

This is the rainfall heaviest for many years, that never happened in the Saudi kingdom, memampat flooding houses and streets in Jeddah. Currently around 1.6 million pilgrims came from all over the world.
